I washed the engine in my mitsubishi lancer and now its making a funny noise!?

i just sold my car but it hasnt been picked up yet, i washed it today including the motor. i just sprayed truck wash on it and hosed it off and now it sounds like a WRX and vibrates when you drive it. if anyone knows why it might be doing this PLEASE HELP ME!!! asap.
