I used vinegar to acidify my soil in my pot but it killed my plants, is it ok to use now?

It was just a hair brained scheme I came up with to get rid of fungus and mushrooms, but my home remedy killed my perennieal or annuals (whatever I planted in the pot) It's been over a year with rain and such. It was store bought dirt, do you think it's safe to use now? I'd hate to throw out dirt I actually went to the store and bought.
