First Car Impreza WRX Wagon?

Im almost 16 and starting to look at cars. Is the wrx wagon a little too flashy for a first car? I'm looking for a sports car thats not too flashy and is fairly cheap. I understand that insurance is high on this car and that it is not easily driven. If this car seems too flashy what are some other suggestions? please dont mention mustangs as i absolutely hate these. Thanks
