What would win in a race?

What would win in a 1/4 mile drag race? A stock 2002 Subaru WRX 5spd or a stock 1966 Chevy Corvette 327/350hp? Which would win in a race around a road track, such as Laguna Seca? Both cars were stick. I'm asking because my dad had a 66 vette and I used to have a 02 WRX and we casually argue over which was faster. Both cars didn't have stock exhaust, my WRX had an STI cat-back and my dad's vette had vette side pipes. We plan on racing our current cars, my stock 01 GTP vs his mainly stock (flowmaster exhaust) 70 chevelle ss396. His chevelle isn't stick, but I still think he'll win. So same question for the GTP/Chevelle, drag and road track. Thanks.
