What car is better overall the subaru wrx, VW GTI?

I have 30k worth to spend on a sporty car ive been looking at both the 2008 SUBARU IMPREZA G3 MY08 WRX AWD and both of the 2008 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF V MY07 GTI AND 2008 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF V MY07 GTI DSG. I really would like some advice on the two I have done a little research but why im asking this question again is because I want to be 110% sure im making the right decision and not spending 30k on a car that end's up not living up to my expectations pls help.
